We are in the business of matching, creating, or improving jobs for youth. To be more precise: we consider everyone between 18 and 35 to be youth.

Consortium:

You don't meet our basic requirements!

In order to ensure projects are demand-driven, we require applications to have a private sector entity in the consortium and local operating power in Sudan. We consider this to be a prerequisite for contributing to the sustainability of projects beyond external donor funding.

Projects should create, match, or improve at least 250 jobs for youth. Additionally, a minimum 50% of these jobs should be for women. Important Note: these do not need to be all new jobs. “Create” are new jobs. “Improve” and “match” are upgrading existing jobs or closing the gap between supply and demand, see the FAQ for more info.

Budget of project:

The Challenge Fund for Youth Employment is a co-investor. We aim to invest in projects that require an extra push to achieve greater impact. This also implies that you will need to co-invest at least the same amount from other sources of finance. The minimum contribution by the Fund will be 100,000 Euro per project. Projects that require a lower contribution will not be taken into consideration.
